
So Cal Scorpions Hold Mini Camp This Weekend

(San Diego, CA) This is it, the final chance for women all over Southern California to know if they will be on the final roster for San Diego's women's professional tackle football team, the So Cal Scorpions.
"This is where we see who has it and who doesn't" Stated head Coach, Nate Benjamin.
"We have a lot of talented veterans returning, as well as some talented recruits". Stated Co-owner Ann Bagala
"Mini Camp is where we start to see who wants to play twelve". Stated Offensive Coordinator, Mark Ring. "Getting all of this talent is great, but along with that comes raised expectations, it falls to the coaches now" Added Ring.
The Scorpions are members of the Women's Professional Football League, which is the longest operating women's professional sports league in the nation, with the WNBA right behind.
"This league is what they call the real deal" Said Co-Owner Christina Suggett.
The Scorpions have big expectations to fill in San Diego. With the unfortunate demise of the San Diego Spirit, it left San Diego without a long standing women's professional league sport. The Scorpions are ready to fill that void.
"This is full contact action with the emotional fiery of women". Stated Co-Owner Ann Bagala "It's entertaining and exciting, and this weekend is where it really all begins". Added Bagala
The Scorpions will play a 10 game regular season schedule which kicks off July 31st.
Mini Camp is open to the public, and is from 8:00 AM to Noon both Saturday and Sunday at the Alex Spanos Training Facility at UCSD,
