So Cal Scorpions Get First Win in OT, and looking for Second This Weekend

San Diego, CA – It was a game of football that any football fan would have ached to watch. With the Defense of the So Cal Scorpions, San Diego's very own women's professional football team, going head to head with the Defense of the LA Amazon's, the game went into overtime scoreless.

Then with one second left in overtime, So Cal Kicker, Sonja Baczynski nails a 38 yard field goal for the team's first win of 2004.

Now the Scorpions will head to LA this weekend for a rematch with the Amazons.

"The team played very well last week, but we will look at mistakes, and adjust" Stated Scorpions Head Coach, Nate Benjamin "The Amazons are not a team we take lightly" added Benjamin.

The Scorpions will head to LA on Saturday morning, game time is 7 PM.
