Snohomish County Explosion Basketball Confirms Home Dates for the 2009 Season

MONROE, Wash. - October 11, 2008 - Just two days before season tickets will go on sale for the Explosion Basketball team the first of three major announcements has been released to the press. Since the departure of the Seattle Sonics and NBA basketball from King County basketball fans have been turning north to the Snohomish County Explosion and the IBL for the only place to watch live men's professional basketball. It has been a long time to give fans in the Pacific Northwest something to cheer about regarding basketball but now is the time.

President Nathan Mumm is excited to get things underway and with Brad Sturlaugson returning as the General Manager things are starting to take shape while still 6 months out before tip-off of the 2009 season. "The organization has done a great job of taking care of logistics of the team all they way through 2011 and we are ahead of most basketball organizations in the IBL with long term contracts." said Mumm, "We are also excited as we have some huge announcements in the next few days that will be great news for the community and for our fans.

April 25th Saturday

May 2nd Saturday

May 30th Saturday

June 6th Saturday

June 19th Friday

June 20th Saturday

June 24th Wednesday

June 26th Friday

June 28th Sunday

Get your Tickets: Monday morning season tickets will go on sale at www.explosionbasketball.net and as the Baseball and Hockey teams in Snohomish County have increased ticket pricing from the previous years the Explosion has decided to reduced tickets prices by as much as 50% to adjust with economic times. "It is our goal that anyone can attend a Basketball game whether it's a family of four or a family of 14. said Mumm, "Last year we averaged just under 1000 fans per game and we are excited to grow even more this upcoming year.
