PrimeTime Players News Release
The PrimeTime Players won their fourth straight game on Saturday evening, defeating the Carolina Gladiators 130-101. In what has become a trend for the team-especially at home-PrimeTime raced out to an early lead and never looked back, taking a seven-point margin into the first intermission and building it into a 19-point halftime advantage.
Terrell Smith lead the way for PrimeTime with 28 points, 13 assists, and six steals. Smith recorded nine of his assists in the third quarter. PrimeTime also got contributions of 22, 21, and 20 from Antonio Houston, Brian Mobley, and James Dillard respectively. C.J. Pigford cleaned up the glass nicely, grabbing nine rebounds to accompany his 15 points.
The Gladiators battled nicely in the third quarter, but just couldn't put a dent into the sizable lead PrimeTime amassed in the first half. Travis Taylor lead the way with 21 points and six rebounds, while Elijah Corrica added 18.
PrimeTime Players have now won their three home games by an average of over 28 points, and only have two more road games left on the schedule. They next play the Queen City Express on Thursday May 10th at 7:00pm at Clinton Junior College in Rock Hill. They will be back in action at The Pointe next Saturday, May 12th, at 5:00pm against the Fayetteville Crossover.
