
Slam to announce players on Tuesday

Bellingham, WA. The ABA Bellingham Slam professional basketball team will be releasing the team's inaugural season roster on Tuesday, September 27th at 3pm. The eight players will join guards Caleb Gervin from Azusa Pacific and Kevin Woodberry from Brigham Young signed by the Slam in August. The eight players will be selected from a group of 27 who attended the Slam's final tryout camp on Saturday, September 17th at Whatcom Pavilion and also attending one of the Slam's preliminary tryout camps during the summer.
At 3pm Tuesday, fans can tune their radio to The Zone on KPUG 1170AM as hosts Doug Lange and Mark Scholten will reveal who made the final cut. In addition to announcing who will be on the Slam for this season, Lange and Scholten will also interview a mystery player from the Slam live during the show.
Those outside of KPUG's listening area can also follow along on the Slam's website, www.bellinghamslam.com which will be providing real-time updates as players are announced. The Slam's ten players will be led by Coach Rob Ridnour as they prepare for the team's home opener on Tuesday, November 22nd against the ABA's 2005 Western Conference Champion Bellevue Blackhawks.
