SL Umps to Work Home Run Derby

MARIETTA, GA – Southern League umpires Scott Kennedy and Cameron Keller will appear on national television tonight when they suit up to work the Century 21 Home Run Derby in Chicago as part of Major League Baseball's All-Star festivities and the highlight of Gatorade All-Star Workout Day. The two Southern League crew chiefs, who were selected to work the All-Star Futures Game on Sunday, will remain in Chicago and judge home runs to be fair or foul for tonight's long ball show down at U.S. Cellular Field live on ESPN at 8:00 eastern time.

The Century 21 Home Run Derby will also feature some former Southern League players including 1993 Southern League MVP and current Toronto Blue Jays' slugger Carlos Delgado (Knoxville Smokies), New York Yankees' star and 1994 Huntsville Star Jason Giambi and Seattle Mariners' power and 1991 Jacksonville Sun Bret Boone.
