
SkyHawks Lose to Moncton 123-105

SkyHawks end their two day road trip with a back to back loss in Moncton, New Brunswick. They started off strong with Jamie Vanderbeken stretching the floor and knocking down two three's in a row. They ended the first quarter down by six points, 28-22. Justin Tubbs took over the quarter, leading with 13 points and Jermaine Johnson was approaching a double double with 11 points and 9 assist. It was 59-44 at the half.
Moncton's heavy defense and Ottawa's poor momentum had them in the lead most of the game. Ottawa came back fighting at the fourth quarter bringing the score closer within nine points, but Moncton fought back and closed the game 123-105.
Both Jermaine Johnson and Justin Tubbs ended with a double double, Johnson with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Tubbs with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Jerice Crouch lead the SkyHawks in points with 26. Coach Jaren Jackson was so intense, that he was ejected in the final minutes of the game, where injured Ryan Anderson took over to direct the team.
