SkyHawks Drop Inaugural Game

OTTAWA - Ottawa's first professional basketball team had their first game of the season tonight against the Windsor Express. The lead up to the game was riddled with tension and excitement; and each team took to the court filled with energy.

Attendance was over 2,600, and the energy in the stands was intense. A three pointer and a massive slam dunk by Justin Tubbs in the opening minutes got the crowd at the Canadian Tire Centre on their feet.

The SkyHawks fought hard against Windsor in their first game out of the gates. SkyHawks very own Justin Tubbs has 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks all on his own; while Tirrell Baines finished with a double-double- 22 points and 10 rebounds.

They were neck and neck all game, and took the lead going into the 4th quarter; but the Windsor Express snuck through in the end with a lead of 8 points for a final score of 113-105.

The SkyHawks look forward to their next opportunity for a win when they play the Halifax Rainmen this coming Wednesday November 6th.
