Skyhawks Add Exhibition Game to Pre-Season Schedule

Augusta, NJ - The Sussex Skyhawks welcome their cross-state rivals, the New Jersey Jackals, on Wednesday, May 16th at 7:05PM for the first of a home and home exhibition series. The Skyhawks will travel down to Yogi Berra Stadium on Friday, May 18th.
Tickets for the event will be $5 general admission. For more information, or to purchase tickets for the exhibition game, please call the Skyhawks ticket office at (973) 300-1000.
The exhibition game will host all of the Skyhawks' ticket package holders at the pre-season picnic party. Please contact Seth Bettan at 973-300-1000 x12 to RSVP. The Picnic will start at 6:30PM.
The Skyhawks will be holding an open tryout on May 8th at 8:00 a.m. at Skylands Park. All hopefuls are encouraged to display their talents for team officials in hopes of making Sussex County's professional baseball team. "Our goal from the inception of this franchise is to be completely integrated into the community," said Wittkowski. "Nothing would please us more than to find our next rising star from the talent pool right here in Sussex County." The tryout is open to everyone. All participants are required to register on the day of tryout, May 8th, at 8:00 a.m. sharp and be ready to play at 8:30 a.m. The cost to register is $20.00, which must be paid in cash at the time of registration.
The Skyhawks open the 2007 season at home Thursday, May 24th against our cross-state rivals, the New Jersey Jackals. Following the game there will be a fantastic fireworks display.
