Ottawa SkyHawks News Release

OTTAWA - The Ottawa SkyHawks announced today that they have acquired Canadian forward Bol Kong after releasing Demetrius Jemison from the roster yesterday.

The Mississauga Power had originally selected Kong, a 6-8 Vancouver native, with the fourth pick in the 2013 National Basketball League (NBL) of Canada entry draft, and then traded him to the SkyHawks for the No. 1 pick Alex Johnson, before the beginning of this regular season. He was then released the next day and asked to get in shape for further re-evaluation.

Kong was signed after the final evaluation and will be ready for the four back-to-back games coming up towards the end of this week, starting Thursday with the Brampton A's (away), the Island Storm (home), Mississauga Power (home), and the London Lightning (away).

"From all indications Bol is in a great physical condition," Coach Kevin Keathley says,"He has been working hard since our trade / release of him three weeks ago to get into game shape. He looks really good and I'm hopeful he will provide us with some size in our small forward rotation. We will have Bol ready to go Thursday night against the Brampton A's."

Next Ottawa SkyHawks home games:

Friday November 22ndat 7:30 pm against the Island Storm

Saturday November 23rdat 7:30 pm against Mississauga Power (re-match from last week)
