Skyforce to Hold Five Open Tryouts

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Aug. 28, 2012) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team will hold open tryouts for the 2012-13 season in the cities of each of their NBA affiliates (Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Philadelphia) and Sioux Falls.

Open tryouts offer players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of Skyforce coaches while they compete to earn an invite to the team's training camp in November.

Following are the dates and locations of each of the five open tryouts:

Minneapolis Tryout

Sunday, Sept. 23 from 9-4 p.m. (8 a.m. registration)

- $175 pre-registration fee ($225 day of tryout)

Minnesota Timberwolves Practice Facility (Target Center)

- 600 First Ave. North, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Lodging: Aloft Minneapolis

- 900 Washington Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55415

Philadelphia Tryout

Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9-4 p.m. (8 a.m. registration)

Transportation: Team will provide transportation to YMCA from Holiday Inn City Centre.

Applicants must be eligible to play in the NBA Development League and are required to pre-register by submitting the official registration and release forms along with a $175 nonrefundable fee. Tryout forms are available online (skyforceonline.com) or at the Skyforce office (2131 S. Minnesota Ave.).
