Sioux Falls, S.D. (Nov. 24, 2010) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the acquisition of Anwar Ferguson. To make room for him on the roster Sioux Falls waived forward Jamal Abu-Shamala. The active roster now stands at 10 players.

Ferguson participated in training camp with the Sacramento Kings in the fall of 2004 and 2005. He averaged 6.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots in five games with the Arkansas Angels (WBA) during the 2004-05 season. The 7-0, 200-pound center finished his collegiate career as Houston's fifth all-time leading shot blocker with 160 rejections in only two seasons, trailing Hakeem Olajuwon, Dwight Davis, Greg Anderson and Bo Outlaw.

Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2010-11 season are on sale. Discounts and benefits are also available for groups of 10 or more. The home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 27 against the rival Dakota Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena.
