SYRACUSE (NY) - The Syracuse SkyChiefs and the Le Moyne College Baseball Team announced today that they will play a seven-inning exhibition game on Tuesday April 4th at 4:00 PM at Alliance Bank Stadium. The Triple-A SkyChiefs and the Division I Dolphins played for the first time since 1983 last season with the SkyChiefs winning 2-1 in the seven-inning exhibition game. Jason Alfaro drove in the first run on a sacrifice fly and Anton French drew a bases loaded-walk for the SkyChiefs second run. The Dolphins scored their run in the top of the seventh on a RBI-Double by Andy Parrino. "Last year's exhibition game was a great experience for both the Le Moyne kids and our ball club and the Blue Jays are in complete support of this game continuing," said SkyChiefs General Manager John Simone. "It's great for the players who are in Syracuse for the first time to get a feel for the turf and it provides our club with a competitive game in between the end of Spring Training and Opening Day." "It's a super experience for our players to play against professionals and so how they go about their job," seventh-year head coach Steve Owens said. "Last year, the experience was a highlight for our season. I'd love to do this every year as long as it is beneficial for the SkyChiefs and Le Moyne College."
