Sky Blue FC Preseason Camp Update

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (March 12, 2013) - Sky Blue FC announced today its 2014 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) preseason camp roster.

The preseason squad includes eight returners from the 2013 season as well as rookies Maya Hayes and Hayley Haagsma. Cami Levin, who was signed by the club on February 3, is also in attendance. Sky Blue FC's national team players will arrive to camp at a later date.

Sky Blue FC opened training camp on March 10 with a lifting session at Georgian Court University in Lakewood Township, N.J., followed by a technical training session at The Atlantic Club in Manasquan, N.J. The club added a second session to its schedule on March 11 and will continue to train twice a day for the rest of the week.

The team will compete in its first exhibition match on Saturday, March 15 when Sky Blue FC travels to St. John's University in Queens, NY. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Training Camp Notes:

Goalkeeper Jill Loyden, forward Kelley O'Hara and defender Christie Rampone will join Sky Blue FC following the conclusion of the USA's participation in the 2014 Algarve Cup in Portugal.Canadian midfielder Sophie Schmidt and Australian defender Caitlin Foord will report to training camp following the conclusion of the 2014 Cyprus Cup.Japanese forward Nanase Kiryu, who was signed by the club on February 18, will arrive to camp after Japan's participation in the 2014 Algarve Cup.Mexican forward Monica Ocampo and Canadian forward Jonelle Filigno will arrive at a later date.
