
Sky Blue FC Partners with Soccer Post

Somerset, N.J. (May 14, 2009) - Sky Blue FC, the New Jersey/New York team of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS), announced today that it has partnered with the Soccer Post, the largest retail chain of soccer stores in the United States. With the partnership, Sky Blue FC and the Soccer Post look to combine their marketing and community efforts in the surrounding region.
Soccer PostSoccer Post will serve as the area distributor of Sky Blue FC and WPS merchandise, including customized uniform jerseys, balls, T-shirts, scarves and game tickets.
"Not only does the Soccer Post have great products and service, but their owners are great supporters of the sport and are happy to be involved with the best women's soccer in the world," said Gerry Marrone, VP Sales and Marketing of Sky Blue FC. "Our players, coaches and front office staff are excited to work with them."
As part of the agreement, the Soccer Post has set up a specialized Sky Blue FC online store. Customized Sky Blue FC apparel can be found at both stores and at www.skybluegear.com.
The Soccer Post owns a retail chain of soccer specialty stores in the United States and has been in business since 1991. They have 25 stores in 11 states, stretching from the East Coast to California. They sell all types of soccer gear including footwear, uniforms, training equipment and goals, and the company maintains a steady flow of business through their website, www.soccerpost.com. They also run an affiliation program with many of their suppliers to drive extended business to their affiliates.
"I'm extremely excited about our partnership with Sky Blue FC," Soccer Post owner Dan Manson stated. "It shows our commitment to soccer, particularly to this new team and league. With the relationship, Sky Blue FC and the Soccer Post will combine their efforts within the New Jersey community. A series of Sky Blue FC player appearances at Soccer Post outlets is currently in the works.
