Sky Blue FC Announces 2018 Schedule

Tinton Falls, N.J. - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) officially announced its 2018 schedule today, as Sky Blue FC opens the regular season on the road against the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, March 31. The New Jersey club then plays its 2018 home opener on April 15 when it welcomes Seattle Reign FC to Yurcak Field, where kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.

The NWSL will once again play a 24-game schedule during the 2018 season, with teams playing 12 home and 12 road matches. Sky Blue FC will compete against the other eight member clubs in the league a total of three times each in its 2018 campaign. During the season, Sky Blue FC will play as the NWSL on Lifetime Game of the Week on Saturday, July 7, hosting the Chicago Red Stars at Yurcak Field at 3:30 p.m.

The 2018 NWSL regular season will officially kick-off during the weekend of March 24 and culminate the weekend of September 8-9. The playoffs will commence the following weekend, with semifinal games being played from September 14-16 and the championship taking place on Saturday, September 22.

Prior to the start of the regular season, Sky Blue FC will play four preseason matches at Sportika Sports, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. kickoff against Penn State University this Saturday, February 24. Next on the slate is a 3:00 p.m. meeting with the University of North Carolina on Saturday, March 3, followed up by a 1:00 p.m. contest against West Virginia University on Saturday, March 10. Sky Blue FC will then conclude its preseason docket when it welcomes St. John's University into Sportika Sports for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, March 18.

All four Sky Blue FC preseason matches will be open to the public, and admission to attend will be free. Sportika Sports, which is the presenting sponsor of the 2018 Sky Blue FC Preseason, is located at 150 Woodward Road in Manalapan, N.J.
