Sky Blue FC Acquires Sixth Overall Pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft

Chicago, Ill. - Sky Blue FC has acquired the sixth pick in the first-round of the 2019 NWSL College Draft and the highest second-round pick in the 2020 NWSL College Draft from the Chicago Red Stars in exchange for forward Katie Johnson.

Johnson, 24, joined Sky Blue FC at the start of the 2018 season, recording four goals and two assists in 19 appearances.

The 2019 NWSL College Draft will take place on Thursday, Jan. 10, at the United Soccer Coaches Convention at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.

Sky Blue FC now owns eight picks in tomorrow's 2019 College Draft, including the No. 2, No. 3, No. 6, No. 10, No. 11, No. 19, No. 28 and No. 34 picks.
