May 13, 2024 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) News Release
LOS ANGELES: SKIMS, the Official Underwear Partner of the WNBA, unveiled a new campaign featuring renowned WNBA legend Candace Parker alongside second overall draft pick Cameron Brink, Dijonai Carrington, and All-Stars Kelsey Plum and Skylar Diggins-Smith. Timed to the highly anticipated tip-off of the WNBA season, the campaign proudly features this talented ensemble of women wearing SKIMS' iconic Fits Everybody underwear collection, photographed by Hugh Wilson.
"I'm proud to launch this new WNBA campaign starring such an incredible cast of athletes. Championing women and women in sports is incredibly important to SKIMS," stated Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer. "Our brand DNA is rooted in inclusivity, representation and women's empowerment, which are values shared with the WNBA. We are honored to be the Official Underwear Partner of the league and look forward to continuing our work together throughout the season."
WNBA Legend and three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker who is widely regarded as one of the best players of all time, says "I'm thrilled to be included in the first-ever SKIMS WNBA campaign alongside this amazing group of rising stars and all-stars. As I move onto this next chapter in my life, I hope to leave the game in a better place and continue to be an example of what is possible both on and off the court," stated Parker.
The campaign also features the 2024 WNBA second overall draft pick and Los Angeles Sparks rookie, Cameron Brink. A two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year and rising star from this year's thrilling draft class. "My fans know how much I love fashion. SKIMS has been an underwear staple in my wardrobe for years." says Brink. "I'm really grateful to be included in this lineup of players, especially with the greats who I have looked up to for so long. It's truly a dream come true to be working with a brand that I love so much."
Two-time back-to-back WNBA champion with the Las Vegas Aces and Olympic Gold Medalist, Kelsey Plum also stuns in the SKIMS campaign. "I'm so excited to represent SKIMS alongside such talented women," said Plum. "I love that SKIMS Fits Everybody is comfortable, without compromising on style."
With her highly anticipated return to the court, as she heads into her 10th season, Seattle Storm's Skylar Diggins-Smith, a nine-year WNBA vet, 6x AT&T WNBA All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist adds an edge to the campaign. Diggins-Smith says, "I love fashion, but more importantly it's essential for me to feel comfortable in every facet of my life. As a mother of two with a very active career, SKIMS provides solutions for me that are seamless, stretchy and stylish!"
The campaign also boasts Connecticut Sun's Dijonai Carrington, who is coming off last season achieving career highs. Carrington says "I absolutely love SKIMS, and I'm thrilled to be part of this campaign. From post-game to travel days and beyond, SKIMS is the perfect brand for me. I love how lightweight and soft the Fits Everybody underwear is, and I'm obsessed with SKIMS for everyday wear."
Since SKIMS' NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball partnership announcement last fall, the brand has taken over the internet with its viral campaigns including SKIMS Mens Campaign featuring NBA star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and most recently the SKIMS March All-Stars campaign featuring leading college basketball players. This new campaign highlighting WNBA stars and legends underpins how SKIMS continues to own the locker room and beyond.
As seen on the women, SKIMS Fits Everybody is a collection of underwear and foundations designed to provide all day comfort and support, constructed from a proprietary buttery-soft fabric that stretches to twice its size, styles mold to the body for a seamless look and second-skin feel. SKIMS Fits Everybody is available now in over 20 underwear styles and 10 signature colorways on SKIMS.com.
