
Skills Competitions Set for All Star Weekend

(SAINT JOHN, NB): The contestants for the skills competitions on Saturday at NBL Canada All Star Weekend, presented by LiUNA, have been set. All Star Weekend is this Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th, at Harbour Station in Saint John, NB. Saturday's events include the Legends Game, the Ale House Three Point Shootout, and the Saint John Airport High Risers Slam Dunk Contest.
SAINT JOHN AIRPORT HIGH RISERS SLAM DUNK CONTEST
The Saint John Airport High Risers Slam Dunk Contest will begin at 4:00pm on Saturday. There is a rumour circulating the one of the contestants below will be attempting to jump over a car, in a tribute to Blake Griffin's famous dunk in the NBA Dunk Contest (pictured below)! Don't miss this!
The slam dunk contestants are:
5'10 guard Stefan Bonneau - Windsor Express
6'0 guard Jerice Crouch - Saint John Mill Rats
6'1 guard Larry Diamond - Oshawa Power
6'5 forward Kamar Burke - Moncton Miracles
6'6 forward Devin Sweetney - Moncton Miracles

ALE HOUSE THREE POINT SHOOTOUT
The Ale House Three Point Shootout will start at 3:00pm on Saturday. Contestants will shoot 5 basketballs at 5 stations around the three point line. The first 4 balls in each rack are worth 1 point each with the 5th ball being worth 2 points.

ADDED ALL STAR CLEARED TO PLAY:
6'4 forward Antonio Ballard was nominated as an All Star starter for the Atlantic Division team by the coaches, but was not announced prior due to a midseason injury. He has since been cleared by doctors to play, and will be added to the Atlantic Division roster for the All Star Game on Sunday.
