Lancaster JetHawks News Release
(LANCASTER, CA) -Clear Channel Stadium is famous for its home runs, but Inland Empire didn't need any of those Friday night. They tallied 15 hits, including a whopping 14 singles, while also using their running game and JetHawks errors to beat Lancaster 9-6 in front of 2,305 JetHawks fans.
Lancaster rallied from behind twice. Daniel Nava's first RBI single of the game tied it 1-1 in the third inning. Nava added another RBI single in a three-run fifth to help tie the game again, this time 5-5.
However, the 66ers took the lead for the third time as they got to the JetHawks bullpen. Inland Empire also got help from four Lancaster errors, the most the JetHawks have committed in a game since the opening weeks of the season.
Nava and Josh Reddick each drove in two runs for Lancaster, with a pair of hits for each. Reddick hit his 13th home run of the season. Aaron Reza extended his hitting streak to eight straight with a three-hit performance.
