London Lightning News Release

(LANSING, MI) - The London Lightning made their way to Lansing, Michigan Saturday afternoon to take on the Lansing Pharaohs in their first of six straight games played on the road. Despite a slow start, the Bolts used a big second half surge to pull out to 112-94 victory and improve to 14-2 on the season.

London was without several key pieces heading into tonight's game as neither Jermaine Hailey Jr (groin) , Marcus Ottey (illness) nor leading scorer, Cam Forte (knee), made the trip to Lansing.

Lansing would take advantage early in the game with Ja'myrin Jackson catching fire, hitting five threes in the first half, leading the Pharaohs to a narrow 55-53 lead.

After regrouping at half, the final two quarters would belong to Amir Williams and Chris Jones.

The 6'11 big man took advantage of the Pharaohs lack of interior size while Chris Jones further cemented himself as a veteran leader of this team leading the comeback. London would outscore Lansing 34-23 in the third and 25-16 in the fourth on their way to the 18-point victory.

The big dawg, Amir Williams earned player of the game honours after leading the game with 40 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Chris Jones was a key contributor in the second half, scoring 26 points while pulling down 10 rebounds of his own. Also adding a double-double was Jaylon Tate, who went 7-11 from the field, adding 14 points and a game-high 11 assists. In just his second game with the Bolts, and playing against his former team, Lance Adams scored 14 points off the bench on an efficient 5-8 from the field.

Ja'myrin Jackson had a big night for the Pharaohs, scoring 30 points for the home squad. Adding 17 points off the bench was forward James Johnson, while captain Latin Davis added 11 of his own points.

The Lightning continues their six-game road trip tomorrow afternoon against the Flint United at the Dort Financial Center.
