Sirens Set to Conduct Dance Team Tryouts

Rochester Brigade News Release


(Rochester, N.Y.)-The Rochester Sirens, the official dance team of the Rochester Brigade, will be conducting tryouts for the 2003 squad on Sunday, February 9, 2003 at the Mid-Town Athletic Club located at 200 East Highland Drive, Rochester. Check-in is at 2:30p.m. and tryouts will start promptly at 3:00p.m.

All applicants are encouraged to pre-register by going to rochesterbrigade.com and printing out an application or by calling 585-234-0094 and leaving your name and address to have an application mailed.

All applications must be accompanied with the following materials upon submittal, or will otherwise be considered as incomplete:

- Completed Application

- Self Photograph

- $20 Application-Processing Fee, if received by February 5

- Copy of Your Drivers License or Birth Certificate

Completed applications are to be mailed to: Terri Battaglia, Sirens Dance Team Director, 1161 Channing Woods Drive, Webster, NY 14580. Applications received after pre-registration, or on the day of tryouts, will be accepted at an increased fee of $25.

All candidates must be 19 years of age as of April 1, 2003, be able to attend all eight Brigade home games as well as practices starting in February and have no visible body piercings or tattoos. The attire for the event includes a dark colored sports bra, dance/bike shorts, flesh colored tights, cheer/dance sneakers and arrive in full hair and make-up.

Fitzsimmons Dance Factory - Lauri Lucas, Sarah Gross, Cindy Post and Heather Vossler will be part of the choreography team for the Sirens.
