Sirens announce 2003 Spring Schedule

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (January 6, 2003) – The Sacramento Sirens, Sacramento's professional women's full tackle football team, are pleased to announce it's 2003 spring game schedule. During the 2002 season, the Sirens were members of the Women's Affiliated Football Conference (WAFC) and affiliated with the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL). After winning the 2002 WAFC championship, the Sirens became full members of the IWFL and because of their domination in 2002, have become known as the team to beat in 2003.

The Sirens have one pre-season and five regular season home games scheduled this year. While game times and locations have yet to be confirmed, the 2003 home games are as follows:

Season tickets can be purchased by contacting the Sirens front office at sirensfootball@yahoo.com or by phone at

(916) 492 - 5450. Season ticket benefits include a ticket for every home preseason, regular season and post season games, free parking, Sirens lanyard, complimentary voucher for a guest, and merchandise and concession coupons. Groups of 10 or more may purchase group tickets at a savings of $2 off each adult ticket. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the gate prior to each game. About the Sacramento Sirens

Incorporated in 2001, the Sacramento Sirens are Sacramento's professional women's full tackle football team. In 2002, the Sirens became the first team in the Women's Affiliated Football Conference (WAFC) history to finish both the regular and post season with a perfect 10-0 record going on to win the WAFC Championship. In conjunction with the Sirens Sports Foundation, the Sirens promote fitness and athleticism for girls and women through participation in the sport of football at all levels.
