Sioux Falls stays a top of poll for ninth consecutive week

Richmond, VA - For the ninth consecutive week the Sioux Falls Storm (8-0) continues its dominance at the top of the IFL Coaches' Poll but a big game vs. the unbeaten Tri-Cities Fever threatens to end the Storm's reign in Week 12.

The undefeated and second-ranked Tri-Cities Fever (9-0) will head to Sioux Falls, SD to take on the also undefeated and number one ranked Sioux Falls Storm (8-0). The Storm and Fever will meet up this week for the first time since last season's United Bowl. The defending IFL Champion Storm defeated the Fever 37-10 in that game. Sioux Falls is coming off a bye. Last week the Fever completed its season series against Everett Raptors winning 70-61.

Green Bay (7-2) holds onto its third place position for the second week in a row. Green Bay is coming off back-to-back victories over the Bloomington Edge and will take on a recently struggling Lehigh Valley team in Week 12.

Rounding out the top five are the Allen Wranglers and Bloomington Edge). Allen (6-3) moves up one spot this week into fourth place after a dominating 73-9 rout over the New Mexico Stars. The Wranglers are on bye this weekend. Bloomington (7-3) is coming off back-to-back losses to the Green Bay Blizzard. Last week, the Edge lost 34-21. In that game QB Dusty Burk had his worst game in his career as he threw a league-high six interceptions. Bloomington also has a bye this week.

Coming in at sixth, seventh and eighth respectively are the Colorado Ice, Wichita Wild and Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. The Ice (5-4) tumble one spot after a 45-33 loss to the Nebraska Danger. The Ice play the Wyoming Cavalry on May 12th. The Wichita Wild (4-5) is on a hot streak as the team is in the midst of a three game win streak and scored a franchise- record 77 points last week vs. Omaha. The Wild and, Week 11 Offensive Player of the Week, star RB Tywon Hubbard have a bye week this week. The Steelhawks (4-5) also tumble one spot after falling to the Reading Express 37-34. The Steelhawks are 0-2 in their last two games. Lehigh Valley will face the third-ranked Green Bay Blizzard in Week 12.

Finishing out the top ten are the Nebraska Danger and the Chicago Slaughter. Chicago (4-6) moves back into the top ten as the team is on a three game winning streak. The Slaughter have a bye in Week 12.

The Omaha Beef drop out of the Top Ten.
