Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale

MILWAUKEE (Nov. 12, 2008) - Single-game tickets for the Milwaukee Wave's Silver Anniversary season went on sale today at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster and at the U.S. Cellular Arena box office.

The Milwaukee Wave open their Silver Anniversary season at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 with a home game against the Detroit Ignition. The inaugural season of the Xtreme Soccer League features Milwaukee, Detroit, the Chicago Storm and New Jersey Ironmen playing a 20-game schedule from mid-December through April.

In their 25th season in Milwaukee, the Wave return 11 veterans to a team that finished 22-8 last season and tied for first place in the league with Detroit. In addition to All-MISL Second-Team standout Marcio Leite, defender Troy Dusosky and nine other standouts, Head Coach Keith Tozer added All-Rookie performer J.P. Rodrigues from Orlando and signed another Brazilian rookie, Nilson Pernambuco.

Regular promotions that return include the Cousins Subs Mascot Game on March 29 and the Green Jersey Auction for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin on March 15 and the annual New Year's Eve Game. In addition, a Silver Anniversary Reunion weekend centers on a Jan. 24 game against New Jersey and Michael King's No. 13 will be retired on Feb. 15.
