
Silvertips tally first win of regular season

The 2004 Western Conference Champions, the Everett Silvertips, take down the 2004 Memorial Cup Champions, the Kelowna Rockets, 4-2 tonight at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.
Leading his team tonight, Curtis Billsten tallied one goal and two assists. Also contributing their fire power were forwards Karel Hromas and Tyler Dietrich and defenseman Ivan Baranka. Assists for these goals came from all over; Zach Hamill, Mark Kress, Brennan Zasitko, Mitch Love, Marc Desloges and Shaun Heshka. Goaltender Michael Wall made 26 saves to help keep his team in the game.
Tonight Everett went 3 for 6 on the power play while Kelowna went 0 for 1 on the extra man advantage. Shots on goal for the Silvertips were 16 while Kelowna sent 28 on netminder Michael Wall.
The Silvertips play again on Sunday, September 26th as the they face off against the Kamloops Blazers in Kamloops, BC. Game time is set for 7pm and the Echo Outdoor Pre-Game Show will begin broadcasting at 6:30pm on NorthSound 1380.
