
Silverbacks Women Play For W-League Title Tonight

ATLANTA - After beating the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Women, 3-1, Friday night in the W-League semifinal round, the Atlanta Silverbacks Women have advanced to the league final for the second time in the team's history. The Women they will meet the Ottawa Fury in the championship game tonight at 7 p.m. ET at Starfire Stadium in Seattle.
In the Final Four, midfielder Jamie Pollock tallied a goal for the Women, and forward Megan Tomlinson scored two of her own, leading the Women over the Whitecaps and into the championship game.
The Women's playoff run this year has taken them to their third Final Four, but the team has never won a W-League title. They came close in 2007, finishing as the league's runners-up.
Fans can receive live updates from the title game on the Silverbacks Facebook and Twitter pages, and can watch a taped airing of the game on Fox Soccer Channel on Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
