
Silverbacks Fall to Scorpions

San Antonio, Texas - The Atlanta Silverbacks fell, 3-0, to the league-leading San Antonio Scorpions Saturday night at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.
Despite controlling the tempo early on, the Silverbacks (1-5-8) found themselves behind midway throught the first half. Scorpions midfielder Hans Denissen teed up forward Esteban Bayona in the 24th minute, making the score 1-0 in favor of the home team early on.
Bayona, who has recently emerged as a key player for the Scorpions, nearly grabbed a second goal just before halftime, but his converted effort was called back due to a handball on forward Pablo Campos.
In the 63rd minute, Campos used some impressive footwork to double the Scorpions' advantage. The Brazilian's seventh goal of the season made it 2-0, and put the hosts in the driver's seat in the second half.
Campos continued his productivity throughout the second half, and his second goal of the game sealed all three points for the Scorpions in the 81 st minute. The goal made it 3-0 and put Campos into first in the league in scoring,
