Silverados Name Assistant Coaches

McAllen, TX. The ABA Rio Grande Valley Silverados head coach Steve Tucker announced that he has hired two assistant coaches for his coaching staff.
Matthew Palmquist and Andres Saenz have been selected to be on the Silverados coaching staff for the upcoming 2007-2008 season.
"I am excited about the opportunity to work with Matt and Andy. They are good people and young men who want to pursue careers in coaching. Both of these young men have shown me that they'll be honest, loyal and hardworkers. That is so important in this business of coaching today," stated Coach Tucker. "I feel both of these young men will complement all that we will do with our team and within all of our basketball operations department. They fit the mold of coaches that I've had on my coaching staffs in the past and I'm sure that both will be outstanding coaches in their own right some day in the future."
Matt Palmquist grew up in Bastrop, TX. He played for four seasons at the University of Texas - Pan American; he is married and he and his wife Monica have a son (Evan) and a daughter (Juliann). He has a BA from UTPAS in Communications and Business.
Andy Saenz is from McAllen and is a graduate of Nikki Rowe High School where he as an All-Area MVP, All Valley MVP and First Team All-Region.
