Southeast Texas Mavericks News Release
The RGV Silverados announced today their Active Roster that will begin the 2007-08 CBA Season.
The Silverados will open up their inaugural season in the Continental Basketball Association this Saturday night at home vs the Oklahoma Cavalry. The CBA will be opening its 62nd season this weekend.
The Silverados just completed their first pre-season training camp and head coach Steve Tucker could not be more pleased with the results. "It was by far the best training camp I've ever led. The players worked extremely hard and I want to commend all the players that participated in our Veterans Training Camp! It has been a great couple of weeks and it is only going to get better! We're elated that it is time to start playing for real this weekend here in McAllen!"
The Silverados will have a Pre-Game Shoot-Around and Walk-Thru open to the public on Saturday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at their homecourt at the new McAllen Convention Center. Silverados players will be on hand afterwards to sign autographs. Feel free to come out to see the Silverados Saturday afternoon and on Saturday night vs Oklahoma, who are coached by former NBA Great, Michael Ray Richardson. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:35pm.
