Silver Stars Forward Lindsey Yamasaki Tears Right Achiiles Tendon

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Lindsey Yamasaki tore her right Achilles tendon during practice today. She will undergo surgery tomorrow and will begin the regular season on the injured list.

The Silver Stars are currently getting ready for the 2005 season with training camp taking place at the Antioch Sports Complex and Community Center. The team will make its SBC Center debut when it hosts 2004 WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie and the Los Angeles Sparks on May 6, in preseason action. The Silver Stars open the 2005 regular season at the SBC Center on Saturday, May 21 when they host Sheryl Swoopes and the Houston Comets at 7:00 p.m.
