
Silver Stars Center Ruth Riley Undergoes Surgery on Broken Finger

SAN ANTONIO, June 22, 2010 - The San Antonio Silver Stars today announced that center Ruth Riley underwent successful surgery to repair a broken right pinkie which she suffered during the game at the Phoenix Mercury on June 18. Riley is expected to be out four-to-six weeks; a full recovery is anticipated.
In nine games played this season, Riley is averaging 5.4 points per game on 19-of-32 (.594) made field goal attempts, 1-of-3 (.333) made three-point field goal attempts and 10-of-12 (.833) made free throw attempts. Additionally, she has recorded averages of 2.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.9 blocks in 17.2 minutes per game.
