San Antonio Stars News Release

SAN ANTONIO, Aug. 9, 2010 - The San Antonio Silver Stars and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Systems have teamed up to host Breast Health Awareness Night on Friday, Aug. 13, as the Stars host the Tulsa Shock at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.

The Silver Stars will be wearing pink uniforms, including jersey, shorts and shoes; following the game, each player will auction off her jersey in a live, on-court, postgame auction with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the CHRISTUS Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU). CHRISTUS is the only hospital in San Antonio with a Mobile Mammography Unit, and the MMU will be parked in Lot 3 during the game for fans to visit.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Systems also is sponsoring Sophia Young bobbleheads - with Young outfitted in her pink uniform - that will be given to season ticket holders and select group buyers attending Friday's game.

In addition to the pink uniforms and Sophia Young bobblehead, the Silver Stars will recognize breast cancer survivors during an on-court ceremony at halftime. Fans who know a breast cancer survivor and would like them to be included in the ceremony should contact Sandy Vasquez at 210-444-5658.

Fans are encouraged to stay after the game to see "The Powerhouse Divas," who will play a concert in the Bud Light Courtyard.

Catch every Silver Stars game with lower-level tickets starting at $10. Visit www.sasilverstars.com or call (210) 444-5090 for more information.
