South Bend, IN - Peyton Manatee, Alex Frogriguez, Myron Noodleman, and Jake are among the many to have signed contracts to appear for the South Bend Silver Hawks in 2011.

No, they aren't the names of new players, but they will bring you to your feet with applause and laughter.

The South Bend Silver Hawks are pleased to announce their Grand Slam Saturday entertainment schedule, featuring national entertainment acts ZOOperstars!, BirdZerk!, Myron Noodleman, and Jake the Diamond Dog.

"Minor League Baseball is growing by leaps and bounds throughout America because of the fun and affordable family entertainment that surrounds the game itself," said Lynn Kachmarik, Vice President and General Manager for the Silver Hawks. "A Saturday trip to the Cove in 2011 will be an entire show built around a baseball game."

The ZOOperstars! (www.zooperstars.com) are a group of animalistic superstars who are sure to delight fans of all ages. Keep an eye out for Ken Giraffey, Jr., Nolan Rhino, and everyone's favorite broadcaster Harry Canary. The ZOOperstars! will appear on May 28th and July 30th.

BirdZerk! (www.birdzerk.com) is dubbed as "The Wildest, Craziest Show in Sports" and is described as an entertainment whirlybird with more tricks up his feathers than Houdini. Keep your eyes open as he plays pranks on the players, coaches, umpires, and even the fans on June 4th and August 6th.

Myron Noodleman (www.myronnoodleman.com) describes himself as "the hippest nerd in da' biz" and the "Clown Prince of Baseball". Never has a nerd been so entertaining, and you can catch him on June 25th.

Finally, Jake the Diamond Dog will join the celebration on August 27th for Canines at the Cove. However, Jake is no ordinary canine. This beautiful golden retriever doubles as a bat boy, takes water to the umpires, catches Frisbees, and even signs autographs.

All Saturday games begin at 5:30 PM with the gates opening at 4:30 PM. Saturdays will also feature the popular children's music group Jetta and the Jellybeans, whose silly lyrics will bring smiles to all the young children at the game.
