Silcott Named GM of the Year

Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott has been named General Manager of the Year for 2002-03 regular season. Silcott directed a series of off-season moves that resulted in the Bandits improving to a record of 12-4 from the previous year's mark of 8-8. The four game improvement marks the second best improvement in the league this season. The off-season of changes included the hiring of Darris Kilgour as the Bandits head coach. Silcott also brought in several younger players who contributed on offense, and rejuvanted the scoring totals of returning players. The end result was a return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2000 season.
Silcott has just completed his fifth season as General Manager of the Bandits.
National Lacrosse League awards are determined by a vote of the Governors, General Managers and Head Coaches of the twelve member clubs.
