The South Texas Showboats are very pleased with the signings of their current core of guys which are Jason McNeil 6'7(small/power forward/center Judson H.S), Leonard Brown 5'10(point guard, Judson H.S), Chris Woods 6'4(Fox Tech, versatile player 1-2-3-4-5), and Jamar Chatman 6'2(shooting guard, Madison). All these players are local and from San Antonio and have signed for a year in hopes of continuing their career at another level. They all played here in the San Antonio area through their high school careers."We are very happy with our line-up right now and we are going to be a very competitive team this season. We have a practice team for a reason. We believe that other players that are not up to this level, will still have the chance to workout with the team consistantly and still have an opportunity to join us and be apart of this special season in San Antonio. We are still encouraging other big men(6'8 - 6'10) to contact us about a position available(210-897-0379). I still have 1 or 2 positions available at the 4&5 spots." said Head Coach Ben Mireles
