 Jersey Express News Release
Madison, NJ./ The ABA Jersey Express have added former Harlem Ambassador and Alabama State University forward, Angel Branch, to the roster for the 2008-2009 season.
Branch, out of Staten Island NY, played his college basketball from 1998 to 2000, between Western Community College and Alabama State University. While at Alabama State, he earned his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.
"I am truly honored to have the opportunity to pursue my passion of playing professional basketball with the Jersey Express. It has always been my dream to play pro-ball in front of my home crowd, and now this dream has become a reality," stated Branch. "I cannot begin to express how excited and grateful I am for this chance. Thank you Management and Coaches for this opportunity...I look forward to starting the 2008-2009 season with your organization."
"We look forward to Angel coming in and filling a huge rebounding role for us," stated team President Marsha Blount. "He's active, versatile and runs the floor well, and at 6'8" he finishes strong around the basket. He should be a force in the paint for us."
Branch has a unique opportunity to work on his game under NBA veteran and Head Coach Larry "Ice" Reynolds. Reynolds, who is still very active with the NBA Retired Players Association, will have a huge impact on Angel's game and hopes to get looks from the league.
Season tickets are available online at www.jerseyexpress.net or by calling the Express office at 973 586 0006. For more information on the team or to contact Coach Reynolds, visit www.jerseyexpress.net or www.abalive.com.
