Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Admirals close out a three game homestand on Friday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. when they play host to the Charlotte Checkers for the first time ever. With realignment in the AHL last summer the Admirals and Checkers were both slotted in the Midwest Division and will play a total of eight times this year, four home and four on the road.
Friday is also Salute to Tattoos Night presented by Starship Tattoo. Anyone who shows their tattoo at the box office will get $2 off the price of their ticket.
There will be many contests going on to salute tattoos on Friday night. The contestants will be judged on the best color and black and white tattoo for Male and Female and there will be a contest for the best Admirals or hockey related tattoo. Each category will be narrowed down to two finalists.
Those 10 finalists will go onto the ice during the second intermission where the crowd will vote on who has the best tattoo in each category.
The winners of the four categories will each receive a $100 Starship Gift Certificate and a gift package provided by Starship Tattoo and the Admirals. The winner of the "Best Admirals Tattoo" or "hockey related tattoo" will win a $200 Starship Gift Certificate and a gift package provided by Starship Tattoo and the Admirals.
The first 100 people to sign up for the contests will receive a prize package from Starship Tattoo including a coupon for $20 off when you spend $100. Fans are asked to meet in the East Atrium to enter themselves into the contest.
The Admirals will play their newest division rivals, the Checkers, for the first time. Charlotte comes to the AHL last season and moved to the Western Conference and the Midwest Division this year. They are the top affiliate of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes.
