Series Notes:

-The Mavs improved to 5-3 in elimination games in their history after Saturday's Game 5 win. Andrew Courtney scored with 30 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game and then scored 34 seconds into overtime to win it for Missouri giving them new life.

-The 12 combined goals scored in Friday's Game 4 (Allen won 8-4) marked the highest combined score in a CHL playoff game since 2010 when Rapid City defeated Missouri 7-6 in overtime of Game 4 sweeping the Mavs in the Conference Semifinals.

-Allen's Brian McMillin has points in eight of the 10 post-season games he has played this year totaling six goals and six assists (third in the CHL in playoff scoring). McMillin has been a plus player in seven of those 10 games and is a +10 overall (second in the CHL).

-Missouri's Colt King has a point in each game in the series with Allen scoring three goals with two assists. Overall, he has eight points in the playoffs (6-2=8).

Series Notes:

-Wichita's 4-0 series win over the Brahmas marks their second straight series sweep and now gives them an eight-game playoff win streak tying them for the CHL record set by Oklahoma City in 1999. The WPHL's Lubbock Cotton Kings won eight straight in the 2001 WPHL playoffs.

-CHL Most Outstanding Defenseman Kevin Young continues to lead his team in scoring with 12 points (3-9=12) in eight games. The d-man has points in seven of the eight games he has played and is currently working on a league-best six-game point streak (10 points).

-Wichita forward Ian Lowe has scored three times in the post-season with two of those strikes counting as the game winning goal. Lowe netted the game winner in the clinching Game 4 in the Brahmas series.

-Thunder goalie Torrie Jung has allowed a goal or less in five of his eight post-season games and has recorded a league-best two shutouts. His 1.47 GAA and .941 save percentage are the best among all playoff goalies.

This Date in Playoff History (April 22, 2010)

The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs took a 2-1 series lead in the Presidents' Cup Finals against Laredo thanks to a 23-save performance by Ken Carroll earning the 1-0 shutout victory. Forbes MacPherson scored the game winning goal for the "˜Bugs in the third period but Laredo would rally to win Game's 5, 6 and 7 to win the Cup.
