Shockwave to Hold Tryout

The Portland Shockwave, Portland's PREMIER Women's Full-Contact Football team, will be holding it THIRD AND FINAL tryout/combine as outlined below and in the attached flyer.

The last 2 tryouts/combines have brought out some of Oregon's FINEST female athletes, several of whom are putting up drill and running times on par with their male football-playing counterparts.

The Portland Shockwave looks forward to it's upcoming Spring season with the IWFL (Independent Women's Football League) and is excited to play some of the best teams in the country currently, including the New Your Sharks, Philadelphia Liberty Belles, and Eugene Edge.

CALLING ALL GRIDIRON GIRLS ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

Portland's Premier Women's Full-Contact Football Team is drafting new players. Experience not required. We have great coaches who will teach you the ropes, from touchdowns to tackles. We'll bring the playbook. You bring the heart. Come out and show us what you've got!

Tryouts will be held on Saturday November 23rd, 2002 at Columbia Annex Field from 12:00pm – 3:00pm. There is a $25.00 try out fee. No football gear required. Cleats are recommended. Columbia Annex is located on N. Lombard and Woolsey. Directions:

From the NORTH: Take I-5 South to Exit 306 (Interstate Ave) Follow Interstate up to Lombard and turn right. Follow Lombard west to Woolsey and turn left. Field is approx. one block down on the left.

From the SOUTH: Take I-5 North to Exit 305B (Lombard).

Head west on Lombard to Woolsey and turn left. The field is approx. 1 block down on the left.
