Shockwave signs players for inaugural season

The expansion San Diego Shockwave of the National Indoor Football League announced today that the team has signed 17 Letters of Intents for the 2007 season.

QB Roman Ybarra - Idaho State, QB Justin Mckenzie - University of Redlands
WR/DB Marty Graham - San Diego Riptide AF2, DB Kevin Burton - San Diego Riptide AF2
WR/DB Nakoa McElruth - San Diego Riptide AF2, DB Samaji Akili - San Diego Riptide AF2
WR Charles James - Idaho State/Arkansas Stars NIFL, WR/DB Shawn Brown - Big Sky Thunder NIFL, WR/DB Maurice Douglas - San Diego Mesa Junior College
WR Desmond Benson - Southwestern Junior College, RB JiAel Brownell - Rocky Mountain
RB Alex Thompson - San Diego State University, RB Robert Hall - Hartnell
FS/K Randon Jorgenson - San Diego State University, C Eder Arsoemena - San Diego State University, DE Wallace Thomas, DE Arvin Combs

"We are really excited about signing Marty Graham and Kevin Burton who played for the San Diego Riptide, both of these guys can fly", stated Coach Bees. "Marty is a playmaker on both sides of the ball, while with the Riptide he set a record with "Most yards in a single game (400)". Kevin is an aggressive lock down corner with a lot of speed. These are the top notch athletes that we are looking for to build a championship caliber team." "We had 65 guys at our first tryout", said Coach Bees, and we are expecting more at the next tryout on February 3rd, 2007 at the Del Mar Sports Complex.
