Changes on the horizon for the Shockwave

August 29, 2007 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
San Diego Shockwave News Release

After a great inaugural season, the San Diego Shockwave have decided to lay dormant for a season while a solid west coast division can be built in a strong national indoor league. The Shockwave looks forward to returning in 2009 to continue offering fans and players the opportunity for competitive indoor football.

To help expedite the process the Shockwave ownership is looking into investing in an established team that is part of one of the multiple leagues the Shockwave is considering being a part of for their return in 2009. The team hopes that being an active part of a league will give them more power in helping to lay the foundation to build a strong west coast division, of which teams are already being recruited.

During the break in active play, the Shockwave is also researching the possibility of building a sports complex. The building of our own facility will create investment opportunities, giving individuals the chance to become part of the Shockwave. Please call or e-mail the Shockwave offices for more information on these opportunities.

The Shockwave would like to thank all of its loyal fans and followers for their support, and encourage them to send any questions, comments or concerns to FrontOffice@SanDiegoShockwave.com or call 877.746.2928.
