
Shock Waives Jacinta Monroe

TULSA, Okla. (June 28, 2011) - The Tulsa Shock waived second-year player Jacinta Monroe, leaving an empty spot on the 11-person roster.
Monroe, a 6-foot-5 center, appeared in 17 games for the Washington Mystics in 2010, averaging 2.1 points in 6.9 minutes a game. Monroe was selected sixth overall in the 2010 WNBA Draft by the Mystics before being traded alongside Katie Smith to the Seattle Storm this past off-season.
The Shock signed Monroe on June 16. She appeared in four games, averaging 5.3 minutes-per-game.
