TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock have waived Ariel Edwards. With the release of Edwards, the 2014 Shock roster has been trimmed down to the final 12 players for the 2014 season.
Edwards, a forward from Penn State University, averaged 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and shot 45.2 percent from the field during her 2014 collegiate season. Edwards was signed as a free agent to a training camp contract by the Shock on April 21.
In her three preseason games with Tulsa, Edwards averaged 9.7 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 1.3 rebounds per game.
