
Shock Hire Strength and Conditioning Coach

Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Shock have hired John Jackson as their strength and conditioning coach. Jackson was with the Shock during the 2011 season. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. During Jackson's college career he played forward for Ohio Dominican University basketball team for one year before transferring to the University of Oklahoma for track and field. Jackson broke Oklahoma's school record becoming the first athlete Sooner's history to break 50 feet in the triple jump.
Jackson provides strength and conditioning services for all levels of sports and post therapeutic rehab needs through Impact Fitness, LLC in Tulsa. During Jackson's 15-year training career he has trained high school, college and professional athletes.
"John Jackson has a multitude of experience working with professional athletes and is highly respected as a strength and conditioning coach," said Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg. "We are fortunate to be able to add him to our staff for the 2013 season."
The Shock's home opener will be May 27th against the Washington Mystics at the BOK Center. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2.
