Tulsa Shock News Release

Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock has finalized the 2013 training camp roster. Training camp begins this Sunday May 5 with second-year Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg. The training camp roster has nine returning players from the 2012 season, including Glory Johnson, Riquna Williams, Kayla Pedersen, Jennifer Lacy, Roneeka Hodges, Courtney Paris, Chante Black, Scholanda Dorrell and Amber Holt. The 2013 season will also mark the return of Tiffany Jackson-Jones to the court. Jackson-Jones missed the 2012 season to give birth to her first child.

Tulsa's newest additions include first round draft pick Skylar Diggins from the University of Notre Dame and draft pick Angel Goodrich from the University of Kansas. Joining them are former Stanford All-Americans Candice Wiggins and Nicole Powell. Wiggins and Powell were acquired by the Shock in a three team blockbuster trade in the off-season. Among the free agents joining the team are Doneeka Lewis, Brittany Spears, Italee Lucas and Vicki Baugh.

Scholanda Dorrell and Nicole Powell have not been cleared by team doctors to practice. Dorrell is suffering from a knee injury, while Powell has an ankle injury. Both players are expected to be back on the court during training camp. Glory Johnson and Amber Holt will be arriving to camp late due to prior commitments.

Associate Head Coach Jason Glover and Assistant Coach Kathy McConnell-Miller return to complete Coach Kloppenburg's coaching staff.
