MONARCHS NOTES: ÆÃ¡ The Monarchs shot .800 (12-of-15) from the free-throw line. ÆÃ¡ With 5:45 left in the second quarter, A¡¦Quonesia Franklin made a three-point shot then grabbed a steal to jump-start 9-0 run for the Monarchs. ÆÃ¡ Monarchs outscored the Shock 32-28 in points in the paint. ÆÃ¡ Rookie Crystal Kelly went for a career-high 10 points and four rebounds. ÆÃ¡ Nicole Powell had a team-high 17 points.
SHOCK NOTES: ÆÃ¡ The victory tonight is the first victory in Sacramento since May 19, 2004 (84-74). ÆÃ¡ Detroit shot .600 from the field and .500 from the three-point line. ÆÃ¡ The Shock scored 30 points off of Monarchs 20 turnovers and outscored the Monarchs 23-7 in second chance points. ÆÃ¡ Katie Smith recorded a game-high 30 points on 11-of-21 shooting (7-of-12 from the three-point line). ÆÃ¡ Deanna Nolan had 24 points, six rebounds, nine assists, three steals and a block.
