Detroit Shock News Release
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.- On Wednesday, August 10, Detroit Shock players Swin Cash and Plenette Pierson will team up with Jeff Morgan (district manager, Detroit district) and Michael Levey (owner/president, Air-Master Heating & Air-Conditioning LLC) of Lennox International to donate/install a heating unit in an Oakland County Habitat for Humanity project in Pontiac.
The heating unit will be donated by Lennox on behalf of the Detroit Shock and will be installed at Habitat's new project home at 317 Prospect Street in Pontiac. The furnace will make it possible for a low-income family to stay warm during the winter.
"This donation of a home heating system by the Detroit Shock and Lennox is a really great example of how organizations, businesses and individuals come together in our community," said Steve Campbell, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. "Only through our volunteers and the generosity of organizations like the Detroit Shock and Lennox will this happen. We thank the Shock and Lennox and recommend to our volunteers and staff to consider supporting them as contributors to our community. Together we ARE making a difference."
"This is a great opportunity for the players to join with their new presenting sponsor and expand their community outreach," said Kristin Bernert, vice president of operations for the Detroit Shock.
