Sher-Wood/CHL Player of the Month Announced

GLENDALE, AZ (March 29, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Rio Grande Valley forward Aaron Lee has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for March/2012. Lee will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.
Lee helped guide the Killer Bees to a 9-2 record in the month of March by recording at least a point in all 11 games his team played. The Calgary native scored goals in nine of the Bees games and finished the season on a league-best eight-game goal scoring streak (the longest in the CHL since February of 2011). During March, Lee scored 11 goals and had six assists.
On the season, the 6-0, 200-pound forward finished second in the league with 38 goals and had 60 points with nine game winning goals.
Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for January include Allen's Jason Deitsch, Bloomington's Jon Booras, Dayton's Damian Surma, Evansville's Todd Robinson, Fort Wayne's Colin Chaulk, Missouri's Sebastien Thinel and Andrew Courtney, Quad City& rsquo;s Mickey Lang and Brandon Marino, Rapid City's Konrad Reeder, Rio Grande Valley's Dan Gendur and Texas&r squo; T.J. Fox.
