Career Year for Lee Ends with Player of the Month Honors

The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced on Thursday that Killer Bees forward Aaron Lee has been named the Sher-wood CHL Player of the Month for March. Lee was instrumental in securing the Killer Bees playoff berth.

Lee registered a point in each of the Killer Bees March games as the team went an impressive 9-2-0. Lee scored a goal in the final eight games of the season and during the month of March became the Bees all-time goal scoring leader and single season goal scoring leader.

Lee scored a career high 38 goals this season (second in CHL) and now has 97 career goals with the Bees.

The Bees open the playoffs Friday night in Wichita facing the first-seed Thunder. Puck drops at 7:05 on Friday and 5:05 p.m. Sunday for game number two. The series shifts to the Valley on Wednesday and Thursday for games three and four.
